Liquor License:

The process to renew the annual liquor license and operator license begins with a mailing from the Clerk in early May.  Complete the Alcohol Beverage License Renewal Application (AT-115f) along with the Operator  License Application below.  Send renewal applications along with payment (payable to the Town of Sherman) to the Clerk.  Applications and payment must be received by June 2, 2023.

Liquor License Fees

Class A: sale only with consumption off premises. $30 for Class A beer, $70 for Class A liquor plus a $35 publication fee. Requires an Operator's License for seller.

Class B: "Temporary" retail sales, for selling at events. $5 per year. Requires an Operator's License for seller.

Class B: Sale of fermented malt beverages or intoxicating liquors - $50 for Class B beer; $100 for Class B liquor plus a $35 publication fee per year. Requires an Operator's License for seller and bartender license for employees when seller is off premises.

Operators / Bartenders Licenses

Must have evidence of training on State of Wisconsin Operators rules and regulations. $10 per year.

Cigarette / Tabaco Sales License: $10 per year.

Contact the Town Clerk with any questions. Licenses are not transferrable.

Ordinance 4.20 Liquor

Dog License:

Iron County requires rabies vaccinations and an annual dog license for all dogs.

Vaccinations by a veterinarian against rabies is required within 30 days after the dog reaches four months of age.  Certificates of current vaccination must be presented when obtaining a dog license.  All dogs 5 months of age or older require an annual dog license.  The license fee for neutered males or spayed females is $5 and $10 if the dog is not neutered or spayed.

Beginning the first week of January and going through March 31, you may register your pet with the Treasurer at the Town Hall on Tuesdays from 9am to 12 noon.
